How to do an OWNER CHANGE?
Owner change
An owner change is a transfer of stock from current owner (seller) to a new owner (buyer). This service will not be charged to the customer.
Select your stock (you can select multiple lots).

Select the lot(s) and go for menu item “Change dimension” and select “Owner change”.

Modify the quantity if needed and click “ok”.

This is the screen for the owner change journal. Most fields are optional, some are mandatory.

- Order date : system date is default
- Sales reference : sales reference of seller (optional)
- Incoterm : incoterm of the sale. This can trigger what to invoice to whom. (mandatory)
- Weight condition : part of the incoterm, also triggers what to invoice to whom. (can be mandatory, depends on incoterm)
- Locode : part of the incoterm
- Remark : free text block (optional)
- Transfer date : for buyer available as from this date (mandatory)
- Warehouse rent u/i : warehouse for account of seller up to and including this date (mandatory)
- New owner : name of new owner (buyer) (mandatory)
- Customer lot : first field for reference of new owner (optional)
- Customer contract : second field for reference of new owner (optional)
- Customer reference : third field for reference of new owner (optional)
- Edit origin and quality, Quality remark, Mark 1 and Mark 2 (optional): The seller can request you to release the cargo as a different origin/quality (not very common), but you can change them here when needed.
When you close the screen without posting the journal, it will act as a provisional release. You can print the provisional release document if you go for menu item “Print” and select “Print release document”.
If you post the journal, the release will be final. You can print the release document if you go for menu item “Print” and select “Print release document”.
If you set the “weight condition” (incoterm) to reweight like in this example, the seller will get charged for the weighing at delivery.
If you would create an outbound booking for this lot, the weight condition would automatically be set to ‘complete weighing’.
